Pakistan Government Introducing Advance Level Online Education System

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched the "Teleschool Pakistan App, Google for Education, and Digital Continuous Professional Development" initiative to provide online education to students from grade 1 to 12 in Pakistan. In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to introduce modern methods of education, including digitization initiatives, and provide the latest training to teachers.

He noted that the quality of teacher training in the country was inadequate, citing his experience in Punjab province. The initiative is expected to transform formal education in Pakistan. During his tenure as Chief Minister, the Prime Minister had directed steps to improve the quality of around 40 training centers in the province. He urged the Federal Education Minister to work with provincial governments to develop a mechanism to enhance teacher training quality.

In a speech, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of incorporating the latest technology into modern education. He suggested providing laptops and other related gadgets to equip young students with new modes of education.

The Prime Minister also announced plans to distribute 100,000 laptops among high achievers across the country and emphasized the need for vocational training programs in collaboration with provincial governments and the private sector. He suggested investing in technical and skill training for students instead of focusing on brick and mortar investments. The Prime Minister further stated that the private sector should be involved in direct training of students, and investments should be made in each student by providing proper training.

He also announced plans to establish a network of Danish schools in remote areas of Balochistan, which will require significant investments. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that providing quality education to students in remote areas will help bring them on par with students from other parts of the country. He also urged authorities to cater to the educational requirements of orphaned children and make providing the latest education to young generations a life goal.

The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the federal minister, ministry, and other partners, stating that the latest technology would be utilized to improve the quality of education, which is a positive development for the education sector in the country.
